Meet our participants and judges for the first annual MMP Capital Chili Cookoff Contests. We've assembled some of the most sought after Chili Chefs in the New England Area to work their masterpieces and warm your pallet. Let the games begin
The professionals behind the mission

Noah comes from a long line of Chili masters and is prepared to bring his best to the table. His favorite quote is, "If you can't stand the heat of my chili then you don't belong in my kitchen". In his spare time he enjoys long walks on the beach, hanging with his labradoodle, and going to bars to meet new friends.

We are honored to have Mike Stanley on board for this contest. Mike brings a generational wealth of knowledge in the making of world class chili. While skiing in the Alps last year, Mike found the time to enter another contest and became the South Central European Chili master. He is now considered a national treasure of the Alps. He joins great company with the only other person to hold that title; Julie Andrews. Yes, the hills are alive with the taste of Mike's Chili.

Chris brings a unique West Coast perspective to this contest. When not routing for his Oregon Ducks, Chris has been know to disappear for days at a time, locking himself away to perfect his chili recipes. It is rumored that the 2023 absolute 81-7 demolition of Portland State by the Ducks was fueled by an explosive variation of Chris's chili. It was unclear which side consumed the "explosive" portion. But rumors still swirl. Chris has never confirmed nor denied the accusations.

Troy is the newcomer to the group. Not much is known about him historically, but he is probably the most fashionable member of this group. We expect a unique perspective on his chili and look forward to what he brings to the table. In his spare time, when he's not taking up two parking spaces with his BMW, Troy enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and family.
"We are the music makers, we are the dreamers of dreams, and we are the deciders of the best tasting chili" - Willy Wonka with artistic license.

When it comes to judges, George is the Gold Standard. His palette is second to none and he has been featured in the who's who of American Chili Afficionados Annual "Best of" Publication. In 2021 he was also inducted into the International Food Critics Hall of Fame. The ceremony was held in Geneva Switzerland and George was the keynote speaker. In his spare time, George enjoys seeking out small mom and pops breakfast spots and hanging with his amazing wife and their two Shih Tzu's.

Shawn has absolutely no experience in judging chili contests or food contests in general. He does bring a a long history of judging and officiating in the MMA community and he feels confident he can make the successful jump. When asked about the transition, he said " How hard can it be? It's only chili". That remarked infuriated one of the participants, Kaplan, and they almost came to fisticuffs. Fortunately, Haskins stepped in and stopped Noah from making a huge mistake.

We are excited to have another judge joining us, but due to possible conflicts of schedule due to their very high demand around the world, we are holding off until we see them walk through the door.
